Comingled

Co-mingled Braid is a braid that is maid from a fiber that is a combination of Carbon and a thermoplastic yarn. This type of braid can be formed and consolidated by pressure and heat by heating the product above the melting temperature while applying pressure with a mold, wrap, etc. This allows the thermoplastic to flow and wet out the carbon. Upon cooling and removal of pressure you are left with a composite.
